Eight shutters were damaged in the fire in Kailali. Eight shutters were damaged in a fierce fire that broke out near Nast College located in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-4 of the district on Sunday night.
According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the fire caused by an electrical short has damaged four shutters of Helen Trade and Suppliers, three shutters of Parivartan Impex cloth wholesale shop and Center Point restaurant, which are operated by Vishwaprakash Kandel.
The fire started at around 11:30 PM and was brought under control at 12:00 PM with the cooperation of locals, security personnel and fire brigade. District Police Office Kailali informed that 45 Nepal Police under the command of Superintendent of Police (SP) Balnarsingh Rana and 25 armed police under the command of Armed Police Inspector Saroj Khatiwada were mobilized to control the fire.
Two fire engines from Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city and one from Godavari municipality were used to bring the fire under control. Due to the fire, the goods inside the shutters were completely burnt and destroyed. Details of the damage are yet to come.
