Two people died in a jeep accident in Baitadi. Two people were killed when a jeep numbered Suppr 04 001J 1372 which was going to Ganna in Darchula from Dhangadhi.
Police Inspector Balram Pandey, spokesperson of District Police Office Baitadi informed that 24-year-old Santosh Bahadur Rana and 32-year-old Kiran Bohra of Dilasaini Rural Municipality-1, who was also a driver, died.
Six other people in the jeep were injured. Police Inspector Pandey said that 45-year-old Ramkumar Rana, 21-year-old Bhagarati Khatri, her two-year-old daughter Elisa, 21-year-old Hemant Prasad Bhatt, 27-year-old Rajendra Bahadur Khatri and 51-year-old Kamala Dhami of Dilasaini-1 were injured.
District Police Office Baitadi has sent Rajendra and Kalma to Dhangadhi for further treatment. A jeep accident took place at Khipali in Patan-6 of Baitadi at 5:30 am on Saturday.
After receiving information about the accident, the local police team of Patan and the local rescue team were deployed. The jeep is stopped on a hill about 100 meters down the road. The cause of the accident has not been revealed.
