Dadeldhura district has been declared as 'Complete Immunization Assurance and Sustainability' district.
Out of 2,383 children from birth to 15 months across the district, 3 were found to have zero doses and 27 were missing some or the other vaccine.
Similarly, out of seven thousand 520 children from 16 months to 59 months, three zero doses and 70 children with some vaccination exemption have been found and all the exempted children have been given all the vaccinations required according to the national vaccination schedule until Baisakh, according to Health Office Dadeldhura.
Dadeldhura was declared a 'full vaccination district' for the first time on 10th of January 2072. Since then, 'Complete Immunization Assurance and Sustainability' has been announced every year. Keshar Bahadur Saud, Head of Health Office, Dadeldhura, said that this time too, after all the necessary criteria were met, the district was declared fully vaccinated and sustainable on Saturday.
At present, one hundred and six vaccination centers are operating in Dadeldhura.
After all 52 wards and seven municipalities of Dadeldhura district have been fully vaccinated, the district itself has been declared a fully vaccinated district. For the first time in the district this year, Alital rural municipality was announced as a full-fledged municipality on May 12. In the
program, seven excellent health workers and excellent vaccination workers, one each from the seven municipalities of the district, were honored with certificates, medals and cash. Two employees of the health office were also honored for their excellent work.
Certificate of 'Complete Immunization Assurance and Sustainability' Saraswati Khadka, Minister of State for Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province and Head of Health Directorate Dr. Khagendra Bahadur Bam handed it over to Gagan Singh Bhandari, coordinator of District Vaccination Coordination Committee.
Saraswati Khadka, Minister of State for Social Development of Far Western Province, said that the work of the health workers who work in rural areas and provide important support in declaring the district 'complete vaccination assurance and sustainability' is commendable. She said that the provincial government has paid attention to the health of the citizens at the rural level. She informed that health camps are being conducted at rural level from time to time.
