A young man who jumped into the Chaulani River in Dilashaini rural municipality-3 Simar of Baitadi has gone missing. According to police, 26-year-old local resident Mahesh Rana jumped into the river on Monday and went missing.

According to Baitadi district police office, it was reported that Rana jumped into the Chaulani river near his house on Monday morning at 6:30 am. Immediately after that, the policemen were deployed at the spot and are searching for the missing person and understanding about the incident, Baitadi Police Spokesperson Balram Pandey said.

Now the police have been mobilized to search for the missing Rana. The reason why Rana jumped into Chaulani river is not clear. The District Police Office has informed that further investigation is being conducted on the incident.
