Ten families have been displaced in Kanchanpur due to flooding after continuous rains.

According to the District Police Office, ten families have been displaced, one in Punarwas Municipality-7, one in Krishnapur Municipality and two in Bhimdatta Municipality.

According to DSP Sagar Bohra of District Police Office Kanchanpur, seven families have been displaced due to flooding near Panurwas Municipality-5 Pashupatichowk. After rescuing them, the team of the area police office Tribhuvanavasti took them to a nearby neighbor's house. 

Likewise, two families have been displaced in Krishipur municipality-7 Karkikatan due to the flood of Godavari river. A family has also been displaced due to flooding in Bhimdatta municipality-19 Triveni tol. Cows, buffaloes and goats along with five people have been moved to a safe place after the house was flooded.

"The rain has stopped now, the displaced people can return to their homes after the flooding subsides, but there may be a risk if it rains again at night," DSP Bohra said, "The flow of the river channel is also decreasing. "
