Due to the increase in water flow in the Mahakali River, four-wheeler traffic has been banned at Sarada Barrage.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sagar Bohra, information officer of the district police office, informed that four-wheelers were banned after the water level in the Mahakali river rose after continuous rain.
'After the flow of water in Mahakali reaches 100,000 cusecs, traffic is stopped,' he said, 'On Saturday, after the water flow in Mahakali river reaches 115,000 cusecs, four-wheeled vehicles are banned.'
As there is a possibility of heavy rain in many places of Sudurpaschim Province till the 16th of June, the Department of Water and Meteorology has asked everyone to exercise caution.
