Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city has presented a budget of 2.56 billion 4 lakh 66 thousand rupees for the next financial year 2082/83 in the municipal assembly. The said budget is 37 crore 62 lakh 33 thousand 780 more than the current year 081/82.
Dhangadhi sub-metropolis, which has planned to conduct a skill and employment fair, women's enterprise market and night market in the coming year, will also continue the plans of 'Specialist Ward Health Clinic', Nagar Gaurav, which was started three years ago. Mayor Gopal Hamal said that 'Community School Educational Quality Development Program', 'Safa Dhangadhi Campaign', 'Greenery Promotion Program' and 'Ujyalo Dhangadhi Program' will be continued as Gaurav's scheme for night market promotion.
The sub-metropolitan informed that health services have been provided to 133,875 people till May of the current financial year through the 'Specialist Ward Health Clinic', which will be continued in the next financial year as well. Under the green promotion program, the sub-metropolis has mentioned that 16 thousand 56 plants have been planted and grown within the city area so far.
Similarly, community participation in garbage management will be continued under our Dhangadhi Safa Dhangadhi campaign. Up to now, 198,802 people have been involved in the campaign, according to the sub-metropolitan city. In addition, reprocessing of the collected waste has been done. The sub-metropolis has said that it will continue to distribute free disability support materials to people with disabilities in the next fiscal year.
Dhangadhi, the only sub-metropolitan city in the Far West, has estimated that the total budget proposed for the coming year will be 1.38 billion 2.6 million for operating and 1.18 billion 29 million 35 thousand 292 for capital. Of the total budget resources, it is estimated that 5479 million 67 thousand 111 rupees will come from internal income, 506 million 62 thousand rupees from revenue distribution, 999 million rupees from the intergovernmental financial transfer of the Government of Nepal, 112 million 241 thousand rupees from the intergovernmental financial transfer of the provincial government and 33332 million 95 thousand 746 from the balance of the current financial year.
In the upcoming year's policies and programs and budget priorities presented by Dhangadhi in the Municipal Assembly held on Saturday, it is said that the long-term thinking of making a "City of Prosperity, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan" will be continued by conducting the campaign "Our Dhangadhi We Build".
Dhangadhi, which is running the 'Ama Bachau' program, said that 1,034 people were provided with free ambulance services and 4,568 mothers were given home health care by health workers during the three-year period.
