Three people were killed and five injured in a jeep accident in Doti.
Today at 1:40 pm, the police informed that a Jeep number 01001 J 1395 was involved in an accident at Dipayal Sayal road section of Adarsh rural municipality-1 Khiradhara Dhaulamati.
According to police inspector Ramchandra Joshi of District Police Office Doti, 41-year-old Harudevi Vick of Sayal Rural Municipality-4 Sunda, 27-year-old Suresh Karki of Jeep driver Adarsh Rural Municipality-7 Dadimana and 35-year-old Kali Katuwal of Sayal Rural Municipality-6 Katuwal village died in the accident. Two people died on the spot and during treatment at District Hospital Doti in Kali at 4:12 pm. According to the police, it has been revealed that the deceased Kali is pregnant.
Police inspector Joshi said that 14-year-old Anita Vick of Adarsh Rural Municipality-3 Nuwakot, 16-year-old Syanu Vick, 22-year-old Kailash Bista, 14-year-old Deepak Bista and 10-year-old daughter of deceased Kali Katuwal were injured in the accident. The condition of four injured persons is serious and the condition of one person is moderate. The injured are being treated at the district hospital.
It is the preliminary estimate of the police that the jeep going from Dipayal to Mauwa went out of control on the road and got into an accident. The police said that further investigation is underway. The jeep fell down about 250 meters from the road .
