The Indian side has unilaterally closed the international border bridge. Without giving any information to the Nepali side, the Nepal-India border bridge at Darchula headquarters was closed on Tuesday morning at 11:06 am.
Chief District Officer Anil Paidel said that the border bridge on the Indian side has been closed. In an informal conversation at the administration level, the Indian side said that they would not close the bridge. But unable to bear the pressure of the locals, Prazia Paudel says that the Indian security personnel closed the bridge on their side.
He said that the Indian side unilaterally closed the border bridge in the absence of any written information about the international border closure at the Nepali and Indian administrative levels.
