Police Sub-Inspector (SAI) Yagyaraj Pant in charge of Satti Satti Police Station in Tikapur has beaten up a local woman. Princess Kunwar Shah, who was originally from Tikapur and was currently living in Dhangadhi due to her job, was beaten up by Sai Pant. The incident came to light after the video of him beating was released.
It is understood that there was a dispute between Shah and the police during the security check. During that time, it was revealed that the police beat Shah by saying 'T'. After the incident of assault on women became public, District Police Office Kailali said that it has formed a committee to investigate the incident. Sai Pant and Havaldar Bohra have been brought to the district by a five-member investigation committee under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Singh, Kailali Police said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Singh said that the 16-year-old teenager who was with Rajkumari Singh stopped him after driving the scooter at high speed and while asking for a license, it came to light that there was a dispute between them.
