In the Far West, the number of corona infected people is increasing day by day. Among those who returned home from India, the infection has been confirmed in 13 people in a period of four days. In that too, a sufficient number of tests have not been done.
Provincial Health Emergency Operation Center Sudurpaschim has reported that three people have been infected at Gauriphanta border crossing in Kailali and one person who came from Zhulaghat border crossing in Baitadi on Saturday. According to Hemraj Joshi, the center's source of epidemic control, the infection was confirmed in three people during the antigen test of 27 people who came from Gaurifanta checkpoint on Saturday, while the infection was confirmed in one person's test conducted at Zhulaghat checkpoint.
Although the corona infection is being confirmed daily, the center says that there is a problem due to lack of required quantity of test kits. "Though 200 kits were sent from Kathmandu on Friday, they had to be protected and tested," Joshi said. Due to the lack of kits, only 28 people have been tested in Gouriphanta and Jhulaghat.
Joshi said that those who have been confirmed infected will be sent to home isolation after contacting the relevant local level. He said that as the infection is increasing, surveillance has been increased at the border crossings and correspondence has been sent to all local level health departments for necessary vigilance.
