Corona infection has appeared in five people from Far West who returned from India through Gouriphanta crossing. On Friday, five women who returned through the crossing were tested for "antigen" and the result was "positive". Three of them are from Kailali and two from Achham.

According to Hemraj Joshi, information officer of Sudurpaschim Province Health Emergency Operations Center, 30 suspected people who returned from India were tested for antigen. All the five corona infected people have been advised to stay in 'home quarantine'. Only two days ago, during the antigen test of 36 people who came from India through this border, three people were confirmed to have corona infection.

Information officer Joshi informed that corona infection has appeared in eight people who returned from India in three days. He said that the infected have fever and cold.

The samples of all the eight people who tested positive for the antigen have been sent to a laboratory in Kathmandu. The Emergency Operations Center has been conducting corona tests by keeping a 'health desk' at the border crossing for three days.

'We were testing using old stock kits,  Today, two hundred more kits have been received', information officer Joshi said, 'within two/three days, we will set up a health desk at Gadda Chowki, the border post, and conduct corona tests.'
