An old man has died in a fire in Gauriganga Municipality-10 Jawalpur of Kailali.

Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police Ran Bahadur Chand of the area police office Malakheti informed that his 72-year-old father Kukru Dagaura Tharu, who was sleeping on the upper floor of the shed, was burnt to death when the two-storeyed wooden shed of Anil Chaudhary caught fire on Sunday night.

After getting the information about the fire, the team led by Deputy Inspector of Police Khemraj Pant reached the spot and extinguished the fire. The police said that the cause of the fire could not be revealed. Chowdhury's shed was completely destroyed by the fire.
