An earthquake occurred in the hilly districts of Sudur Hills on Friday morning. The shock of the earthquake that hit Gadhi near Gothalapani, the headquarters of Baitadi district, on Friday night was felt in the hilly districts of Far West.
According to the National Earthquake Measurement Center, an earthquake of 5.1 magnitude occurred at 1:48 in the morning.
After that, a 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck around 2:00 p.m., according to the center. It is said that the epicenter of both earthquakes is in Khalanga Gadhi area, the headquarters of Baitadi.
The shock of the earthquake was felt in the hilly districts of Darchula, Baitadi and Dadeldhura in the far west. The Chief District Officer of Baitadi said that no concrete information has been received regarding the earthquake causing human or material damage.
