The number of people who have taken labor permits from the Far West Province for foreign employment has exceeded 2.5 lakhs in a decade and a half.

The data has been released that the number of people who received work permit and re-work permit in the province from the financial year 2064/065 to the end of February 2081 is 252 thousand 646. Among them there are 243 thousand 456 men and 9 thousand 190 women.

This data was released at an interaction program organized by the Ministry of Social Development on Sunday in Dadeldhura. In the

program, Hemraj Regmi, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, while giving detailed information about the program, said that cooperation and facilitation between stakeholders at different levels is necessary.  Dadeldhura Assistant Chief District Officer Dwarika Ojha shed light on the legal aspects related to foreign employment. He informed that three complaints related to foreign employment fraud have been received in the administration office in the current financial year alone. While giving information about the Foreign Employment Act and legal provisions, he said, 'In the current financial year alone, three complaints related to foreign employment fraud have been registered in the administration office, this awareness campaign is needed.' Pancharam Chowdhury, the manager of the Far West Province of the Safe Migration Program, maintained that this program should be implemented in all municipalities. According to him, the program will be held in Amargadhi Municipality of Dadeldhura, Dasarathchand Municipality of Baitadi, Mahakali Municipality of Darchula, Mangalsen Municipality of Achham, Jaiprithvi Municipality of Bajhang, Badimalika Municipality of Bajura, Dipayal Shilagadi Municipality of Doti, Bhimdatta Municipality of Kanchanpur, Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Municipality of Kailali, Tikapur, Ghodaghodi, Godavari, Gauriganga Municipality and Janaki Rural Municipality. is being operated.

In the coming financial year, more 50 local levels of the Far West have pledged to share the cost of running the program. Services such as information and counseling services, legal counseling and facilitation, skill development training, psychosocial counseling services and financial literacy are being provided under Sami program.  In the

program, Saraswati Khadka, Minister of State for Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province, promised to take initiatives to expand the program in the upcoming budget, saying that it is necessary to collect and analyze the data of citizens going for foreign employment.  In the
