Sanjay Bhandari, the joint candidate of ANERASWAVIU and Akhil Revolutionaries, has won the presidency of the Independent Students Union (SWAVIU) held at the Patan Multipurpose Campus in Patan, Baitadi. In the elections held on Wednesday, Bhandari won the presidency by getting 150 votes. His opponent, Gautam Prasad Awasthi of the Janajagaran Swatantra Vidyarthi Union, has secured 56 votes.
Election Officer Uttam Bhandari said that Madhavi Bhatt, who is a candidate for the president of Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh, got 16 votes. Similarly, Prakash Bhatt of the joint panel has won as secretary by getting 92 votes. His nearest rival Kamala Bhattarai of Janjagaran got 56 votes.
Similarly, Gajendra Chunara of the joint panel has won the treasurer by getting 107 votes. Election officer Bhandari informed that his rival Dinesh Bhatt of Janjagaran got 49 votes.
