One person died in Acham due to meat stuck in his throat. 42-year-old Dammar Kunwar, a resident of Nawathana, Sanfebagar Municipality-5 of the district, died.
On the occasion of Chaitedsain, he was taken to Nyaya Health Hospital Byalpata for treatment when he got stuck in the neck of a cow while cooking and eating Khasi meat cut in the village. Chief of District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police Ishwari Bhandari informed that Kunwar died during treatment on Saturday afternoon.
He said that a police team headed by Inspector Umesh Bahadur Chand from the area police office Sanfebagar went to the place to investigate the incident further.
