The tiger found in the wheat fields was released in the core area of Shuklaphanta

The tiger captured from Belauri Municipality-2 Teduwa in Kanchanpur has been released in Shuklaphanta National Park.

Two days after it was taken into custody, it was released in the core area of the park on Monday midnight.

'Zoo and rescue center could not find any place to keep tigers,' Ram Bichari Thakur, head of Division Forest Office, Kanchanpur, said, 'We tried for two days, when we could not find any space, we came to the conclusion of leaving it in the park.' The tiger was captured by darting on the second day on Sunday. Then he was kept in the iron cage at the Division One office.

The conservationists say that if the tiger is left in the park without even eating in the cage for two days, it may enter the slum again and there is a risk.

"The tiger is an adult, not even injured, it has not attacked anyone after entering the settlement," said Thakur, "that's why it has been left in its natural habitat."

On Sunday, Shuklaphanta National Park and National Nature Conservation Fund's Shuklaphanta conservation program team captured the tiger by darting it.
