Bayalpata Hospital of Achham, which has been providing specialist services for a long time with the help of foreign donors, has faced a financial crisis.  The hospital, which provides all general to specialist services free of charge, is also the first treatment destination in the hilly areas of Far West and Karnali provinces.

Bayalpata Hospital, which is providing free specialist services to patients from distant and Karnali areas, issued a notice on Tuesday and said that service delivery may be stopped at any time due to financial crisis. "For proper management of the services provided by the hospital, we have to deal with financial crisis," the notification issued by the hospital said, "We are not able to fill the posts of doctors and health workers who are vacant in the hospital due to adverse circumstances." It is also difficult to purchase, store and supply the medicines, labs and other materials needed by the patients.

Hospital public administration department has stated that it is becoming difficult to check up the service users in time and provide all the medicines as per the requirement. The notification states,  Bayalpata Hospital apologizes for the possible adverse situation that may occur in providing treatment services in time due to lack of necessary manpower.' 

Social Development Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Meghraj Khadka said that more than 70 million budget has been allocated for Bayalpata Hospital in the current year under various headings. "Bayalpata Hospital is demanding a budget for salaries and allowances to the human resources". It is a disaster run by the organization, so far there is no participation of the government . For salaries in hospitals run in this way and  There is no legal basis to give a budget as a subsidy," said Minister Khadka, "The provincial government has formed a task force and is also discussing with the organization about the operation of the hospital. If there is a situation where the hospital is closed, the government will take all responsibility for it.

Foreign donor He says that the hospital is facing financial crisis every year after the reduction of support. According to him, a budget of 220 million is needed for the operation of the hospital in one financial year. "In the last year, there was a news of budget allocation of 90 crores from the South West Province. Of that, 40 million came easily through the Directorate of Health . But we had to run a lot for the 50 million rupees allocated," he said. "The remaining 50 million rupees came in mid-June. 2/3 days to be spent in the last comes . There is such carelessness even in a sensitive area like a hospital . Service is affected by financial problems throughout the year. No one thinks about how such a budget can be spent in one day.' 

According to Minister Khadka, some local levels of Achham, Bajura and Doti are also helping to operate Bayalpata Hospital. Sanfebagar Municipality of Achham has allocated 1 crore, Bannigarhi Jaigarh Rural Municipality 10 lakhs, Mangalsen and Kamalbazar Municipalities have allocated 5/5 lakh budget. Similarly, he said, it has been reported that Triveni Municipality of Bajura has allocated 10 lakhs and Budhiganga Municipality has allocated 500,000. According to him, although the East Chowki rural municipality of Doti has been supporting in the previous year, no official information has been received about how much budget will be given for the hospital this time.
