Fifteen extremely poor families of Belauri municipality have been provided safe accommodation. Under the safe housing program, safe housing has been provided to 15 families, 10 from Ratanpur and five from Bhuda.
The housing was built with the joint cost sharing of the municipality and non-governmental organizations.
Town Chief Potilal Choudhary said that for the construction of housing, two-room houses with verandas were constructed and handed over by the municipality for three lakhs and NIDs for two lakhs per house.
According to him, those who have been provided housing are disaster affected, tribal tribes and Dalit community. City Chief Choudhary said that in the coming year, a plan will be made and implemented for the construction of housing for the extremely poor families affected by the flood disaster in Ward No. 5, 6, 7 and 8.
'Families living in an unsafe manner due to lack of housing have got safe housing,' he said, 'We are working in a planned manner to ensure that all families living in the city live in safe housing.'
