A man was found dead in a hotel in Melauli Municipality-7 of Baitadi. Police said that 55-year-old Tej Singh of Melauli-1 was found dead on Tuesday.
According to Baldev Badu, spokesperson of District Police Office, Baitadi, Tej Singh was found dead on Tuesday morning while sleeping in a hotel. On Monday night, he had dinner at the hotel and slept. "When he did not wake up when he called from home on Tuesday morning, his relatives went to Melauli market to search for him," spokesperson Badu said, "he was found dead when he opened the door of his sleeping room."
Tejsingh, who has been living in Kathmandu for some time, came to Melauli to attend the Kumbh Mela in India, said Police Inspector Badu. According to the police, a team led by a police inspector from the area police office, Patan, has been dispatched to the spot to understand the matter.
