Metropolitan Debate: The people of Dhangadhi are optimistic about the sub-metropolis

Local residents have appreciated the work done by Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city in the areas of education, health, sanitation, road expansion, green promotion, street lights. They said that the sub-metropolitans should also pay attention to public concerns such as internal road construction, market monitoring, and job creation.

Pushkar Ojha, Senior Vice President of Kailali Industry and Commerce Association, requested the sub-metropolis to increase the scope of the tax rate in Kantipur Television's 'Mahanagar Mahabahas' program. He praised the 'Job Fair' which was started as a plan to make the youth self-employed. He suggested to bring a program so that at least 5 youths will be self-employed in each ward. 

Sitaram Awasthi, principal of Tribhuvan Mavi located in Dhangadhi-3, Boradandi, pointed out that the metropolis should take initiatives to change the attitude of the community and parents towards community schools. Culture expert and writer Padmaraj Joshi mentioned that Dhangadhi's development model is good and said that it should be continued. Nita Chand Shahi of Dhangadhi-3 complained that although the main road was shaky, the inner road could not be constructed. She emphasized on making market monitoring effective. 

Tharu community leader Madhav Choudhary argued that the practice of collecting fees according to the room in the house in the name of waste management is wrong and requested that it be corrected. Sangeeta Neupane, president of Dhangadhi Lady Jaycees, drew the attention of the sub-metropolis saying that there was no improvement in the Seti Provincial Hospital in the past and now. Netra Sivakoti, a local resident, said that the lack of traffic lights on the road is a problem for the common people. Some participants expressed concern that the number of drug addicts in the sub-city is increasing.

Devilal Joshi, head of Sudurpaschim Transport Business Committee, said that the city bus service, which was started to operate in rural areas, was only focused on Dhangadhi-Attaria. Women's rights activist Maya Nihar Ansari told about the problem of children being deprived of education when the sub-metropolitan district did not issue birth certificates to the Muslim Suda children living in Dhangadhi. 

Deputy Mayor Gopal Hamal was unable to attend the program due to ill health, and Deputy Mayor Kandakalakumari Rana spoke about the concerns and concerns of the city dwellers. She said that in Dhangadhi, the head, deputy head and ward president have worked together in the field of physical infrastructure and sanitation. He said that construction of gaushalas, Bright Dhangadhi campaign were prioritized to manage stray cattle. Deputy Chief Rana also informed that programs such as Ward Expert Clinic, distribution of search and search disability aid materials are being conducted in all the wards. 

Dhangadhi sub-metropolis is taking initiatives to improve the quality of community schools by investing in education, Deputy Chief Rana also said. "We have improved the infrastructure of the school, we are having regular meetings with the parents and we are training the teachers," she said. We have arranged for the city police to reach the city police immediately for disaster relief such as snake bite, fire and flood.' 

Executive member Anil Bhojania said that the people's representatives from various parties, including the independently elected city chief Hamal, are working with good coordination. He was of the opinion that a plan should be made to focus on production to develop entrepreneurship. Raj Bahadur Air, the ward president of Dhangadhi-3, said that although he tried to do maximum work with the available resources, he could not give results as per the people's expectations due to lack of budget.
