An Excavator (JCB) overturned due to a landslide during road construction in Mahakali Municipality-5 Thadyabhir of Darchula. The JCB which was digging the road was also thrown towards the river when a landslide fell from the road on Friday morning. The JCB driver was injured in the accident.
According to District Police Office, 26-year-old Resham Budhamgar, a resident of Junichande rural municipality-11 of Jajarkot, was injured when the excavator was knocked down by the landslide. The driver, who was buried in the excavator due to the landslide, was rescued by the security personnel and taken to the district hospital.
Excavator No. 03-01- 003 A 7405 has reached the bank of Mahakali river . The Mahakali highway has been blocked due to a landslide from above the road .
