A seven-year-old local Pravesh Rana, studying in class one, died on Thursday when the gate door of Janata Secondary School in Gadaria, Kailari Rural Municipality-9 of Kailali was broken, while one other student was injured.
Rana died when the iron door broke while opening the main gate of the school, said Sitaram Chaudhary, the principal of the school.
According to Principal Choudhary, Pravesh, who was seriously injured, died on the way while being taken to the hospital for treatment. Sameer Chaudhary, who is studying in class two, was injured. He is being treated at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi.
