Sudurpaschim, January 9: In today's meeting of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly, the report of the 'Bill to amend the Sudurpaschim Pragya Pratishtan Act 2076', which was discussed and approved by the subject committee, has been submitted.

Shivraj Bhatt, a senior member of the Social Development Committee, submitted the report. In the amended bill, the number of academic councils of the institute has been increased compared to the previous one.

Similarly, replacing the previous system where the chancellor is the chief minister and the vice-chancellor is the social development minister, it has been arranged that academicians should be appointed as the chancellor and vice-chancellor.

Provision has been made in the revised bill for the chief minister to be the chief patron of Pragya Pratishthan and the social development minister to be the patron. In the meeting, the senior member of the Public Accounts Committee, Bikram Singh Dhami, submitted a report on the second report of the Public Accounts Committee 2081.

At the beginning of the meeting, state assembly member Naresh Kumar Shahi, taking time from the speaker, drew attention to the fact that relief assistance is not available from the government to the affected families in Bajura and other districts due to the earthquake in the month of January.
