Naresh Kumar Shahi, a member of the Far West Province MP and former minister, has warned to go on a hunger strike in the Ministry of Home Affairs, saying that the Ministry of Home Affairs has been ignoring the demands made by the locals for setting up an area administration office in the Kolti area in the northeast of Bajura district.
Provincial MP Shahi has submitted a memorandum to Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar with the demand for establishment of local administration office on Thursday. In the memorandum given by Shahi to the Home Minister, the author has mentioned that if the process of establishing the local administration office in the northeastern region of Bajura is not advanced within the month of January, he will go on hunger strike in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
There are two provincial constituencies in Bajura, where there is only one representative assembly election. Provincial Constituency (1) is located in the northeastern part of the district. Under which there are Budhinanda Municipality, Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality, Himali Rural Municipality and Jagannath Rural Municipality.
About two-thirds of the total area of the district is in the northeastern region. In Bajura, which has a total area of 2 thousand 188 square kilometers and nine local levels, the area of four local levels in the northeast is 1 thousand 345.05 square kilometers.
