Four people were injured due to lightning strikes at different places in Baitadi. According to the police, 6 cattle died due to lightning.
According to the District Police Office, four people were injured in Shivnath Rural Municipality-2 Pokhara due to lightning. His wife Pavani Damai, 35 years old, daughter-in-law Kavita Damai, 20 years old, son Lok Damai, 13 years old, and daughter Lakshmi Damai, 11 years old, were injured when lightning struck the house of local Gopal Damai around 11 am on Saturday.
Baitadi Police Spokesperson Balram Pandey said that the four injured persons are being treated at DS Polyclinic in Patan. According to him, a bull belonging to Gopal Damai also died due to lightning. Similarly, 5 cattle died due to lightning in Dhulidhar village located in Surnaya Rural Municipality-6.
According to the police, one goat of local Haridatta tribe, one goat of Bhagarathi tribe, one calf of Padmaraj tribe, one bull of Krishnadatta tribe and one rago of Damodar tribe died due to lightning strike.
