2 crore flowed in Budhi Ganga in 7 years

Triveni Municipality of Bajura, which is completely out of reach of the road during the rainy season, has been building a wooden bridge over the Maure river, Balde river and Malagad river which merge with the Budhiganga river during the four months of winter, and it has been about 7 years. Even though it is a municipality, the 9 wards here are not fully accessible by road.

A motorable bridge has not yet been built to go from Budhiganga municipality strip to Triveni municipality. But the municipality has been making wooden bridges at three places and has been practicing the practice of pulling the vehicles from these three places to Triveni by spending a budget of 3 million rupees every year.

Every year, a wooden bridge is built in winter, and the veld that comes to the river in the rains sweeps it away . Karna Bahadur Thapa, the head of municipality Bajura, said that in about eight years since the people's representative came to the local level, Triveni has been made accessible by the forced road by building a crude wooden bridge.

``In winter, we will allocate 30 million budget to build a crude bridge to carry vehicles in Maurai, Balde and Malagad . As soon as it rains, the crude bridges built in these three places are washed away," said Thapa, the city chief, "The local level has built crude wooden bridges with a budget of about 21 million rupees for 7 years. As soon as it rains, this budget gets mixed with the Budhiganga river.

Thapa said that although the contract to build a motorable bridge over the Budhiganga river in Maure was three years ago, the contractor has not yet started the work. According to him, Bikoi Builders Pvt Ltd got the contract for the concrete bridge through the Mahakali bridge project under the road department. City Chief Thapa said that after the contract was signed for 16 million rupees, the contractor had already received payment of 14 million rupees for Peski three years ago.

'Local level budget cannot build a motorable bridge from its own budget . What we can do is to make it easier for vehicles to come by making a wooden bridge. Even if it is risky, we are making it," he said. "When he was a candidate for the mayor, the agenda was made that connecting Triveni municipality with a motorable bridge was the first priority. Even though the contract was awarded, the work could not be started due to the negligence of the contractor. Now it is becoming a headache for me as well.''He said that there is always a risk when a vehicle crosses a bridge made of wood.

Niraj Aidy, a resident of Triveni Municipality-7, said that in winter, people take risks and make vehicles cross through the wooden bridge, and in rains, Triveni residents are out of reach of the road. The matter of making Triveni a motorable bridge and making it accessible to the road has been going on for a long time. So far, there is no way to build a bridge," he said. "Cargo vehicles cannot pass through the unpaved bridge even now. Bolero Jeep Scorpio car takes risks and goes to Triveni . We have been hit a lot .' That's why goods carried by freight vehicles have to be carried by porters . The cost of carrying goods from people will increase . When the porter carries 50 kg of goods, the business people in the village add at least 100 rupees to it. It is also the obligation of local traders.

Anami Rupa Chowdhury of Kailashmandaun Health Chowki in Triveni Municipality-7 said that since Triveni residents do not have easy road access, pregnant women, pregnant women and elderly people are the most affected. She said that because the vehicles that came across the wooden bridge in winter said that the road was difficult and the fare was expensive, the cases that required emergency referral to the district hospital always had to take risks. "Referring emergency cases is very difficult in the rain." From here to Bamka it has to be carried on a stretcher . It takes 8/9 people to carry the stretcher on such a long way . Sometimes it's very difficult if you don't find someone to carry you,' she said.

Some time ago, she remembered that it was very difficult to send a maternity 'case' that came to the health post during the rainy season to the district hospital Bajura . It was rainy season, there was a case of not being able to deliver to the health post. Had to be sent to the district shelter. We had to carry him because the car was not running,' she said, 'We took a lot of risk and took him to the district hospital . We took it by trusting God. Anyway, safe delivery .'
