There is an extreme shortage of staff in the Food Technology and Quality Control Division office at Amargarhi. Because of this, the service of the office has also been affected.
Established in 2075 with Dadeldhura and Bajhang working areas, this office has only one employee and one office assistant.
There are three staff positions including two technical assistants and one food research officer.
Technical Assistant Aryal said that although the staff is complete, only one person is working in the office.
"Even though the office has the responsibility of inspecting and monitoring hotels and industries in two districts and collecting food samples, there is a problem with the lack of staff", she said, "Although approval has been given in all seven municipalities of Dadeldhura, other work has not been done." There is a compulsion to close the office while going to the field for
monitoring.
