A fire broke out at the Rugin health post located in Himali Rural Municipality-5, which is located in the outskirts of Bajura. Raj Bahadur Bhandari, Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Himali Rural Municipality, said that the 10-room building of the health post was destroyed in the fire that broke out on Sunday afternoon.

Bhandari said that it was understood that the fire broke out while the electrical equipment in the health post was being operated. According to him, the health post was built 10 years ago using stone and wood.

'Rugin health post is one of the oldest health institutions in Bajura. As it was very difficult, there were many health equipments such as video x-ray machine, medicine, lab, etc., said Acting Chief Administrative Officer Bhandari, "There was also a birthing center there. There were only medical supplies worth nearly one crore. There is news that everything has been burnt down.'
