Two people have died due to lightning in Kanchanpur. One person was injured. According to the police, two people died, one each in Dodhara Chandni Municipality and Laljhadi Rural Municipality.
According to District Police Office Kanchanpur DSP Umesh Joshi, 34-year-old Yam Bahadur Sunar of Dodhara Chandni Municipality 6 Bhattinala died due to lightning on Wednesday afternoon.
He was traveling on a motorcycle and died during treatment at Dodhara Chandni Hospital after being struck by lightning. Jagat Sunar, who was traveling together, is being treated.
Similarly, 28-year-old Hiramathi Rana died due to lightning while working in the fields in Laljhadi village 1 Nauranga. DSP Joshi said that he died during treatment at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi.
