New ministers were sworn in on Tuesday in the reshuffle of the Council of Ministers in Koshi Province.

Provincial Chief Parshuram Khapung administered the oath of office and secrecy to 10 ministers, including two ministers of state, at the provincial chief's office. Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki formed the new cabinet after an agreement was reached between the ruling UML and the Congress to reshuffle the existing cabinet formed on Bhadra 27, 2081.

A new ministerial team led by Pradeep Sunuwar from the Congress has joined the government. Sunuwar and Israel Mansuri from the establishment side, Bhim Parajuli from the Krishna Sitaula side, and Man Bahadur Limbu from the Shekhar Koirala side have become ministers. Sunuwar has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, Parajuli for Tourism, Limbu for Health, and Mansuri for Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives. Congress Provincial Assembly Whip Shobha Chemjong has been made the Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure.

Chief Whip Bidur Lingthep, Indramani Parajuli, Tilchan Pathak and Ram Prasad Mahato have become ministers from UML. Indramani Parajuli of Dhankuta has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Bidur Lingthep of Sankhuwasabha has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, and Tilchan Pathak of Jhapa has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Drinking Water and Energy. 

Ram Prasad Mahato of Sunsari has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development. Umakanta Gautam has been given the responsibility of the Minister of State for Law.
