Indra Jatra is called 'Yen Ya:' in Nepali language. Yen means Kantipur city and Ya means the main Jatra. During Indra Jatra, all the deities related to Indra Jatra are also brought out for public display.

Kathmandu's famous Indra Jatra has started from Thursday. The traditional cultural festival, which is celebrated for eight days, has started after ritually throwing a lingo or ya:sin in Hunmandhoka.
