Nepali Congress has always been working in the forefront for the establishment of democracy and its protection. In this sense, Congress is the backbone of the democratic system. Many activities of the Congress in the past have become an example for other parties and a role model for the country.

Recently, as the number of people attacking democracy is increasing, the Congress has to stand up stronger and work to set an example for others. But that did not happen. In the internal life of the party which revolutionized in the year 2007, fought continuously against the dictatorial panchayat for three decades, restored democracy and led the people's movement, it is starting to feel that democracy is weakening.

Even the ordinary workers at the lower level have started to feel the impression that the leader-friendly methods have started to work. Leadership has become more important than ideas and methods. We expect that the Congress party will run according to the rules and regulations and will be able to guide other parties as well, as they are committed to democracy. But the current party leadership has started to attack workers and people's expectations time and again. As a result, frustration among common workers is increasing.

The Democratic Party's sister organization has been running on the strength of the chairperson who has lasted for years. The transfer of leadership has not been possible for a long time due to the inability to hold a regular convention of the fraternal organization. When Gagan Thapa and Vishwaprakash Sharma, two leaders trusted not only within the Congress but also by other parties, were the general ministers, the convention of the fraternal organization was badly rigged. The General Minister failed to explain to Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba, who was keen to run the fraternal organization in an ad hoc manner, that 'this is not the playground of the Chairman, but the nursery of millions of Congress workers'. 

While the search for youth leadership in politics is increasing, the leadership level of the Congress has failed miserably in making the leadership production factory Navi Sangh, Tarun Dal and Mahila Sangh operational. The generational migration is increasing due to the failure to have a regular convention that should be held at least once every three years. This past when youth is the chief minister in a party that believes that youth is energy? 

Not only that, it took Chairman Deuba three years to appoint the treasurer, which can be done within a month. But no officer questioned why the treasurer was not appointed. The Central Committee did not sit even for 9-10 months. It didn't make any sense to many. 

According to the government data, market prices have increased rapidly in recent times. Traders are arbitrary. The government is turning a blind eye. Fraternal organizations such as Navy Sangh and Tarun Dal, which should be strengthened at this time, have fallen asleep. Although it was claimed in the budget speech that the price increase would be limited to 5.5 percent, it has increased to over 6 percent. The price increase of daily required vegetables has gone up by more than 34 percent. But the youth who should warn the black market are silent. During the protest, Deuba is afraid that he will take action against his own government! What is the purpose of these organizations if they only speak for the president and don't take to the streets in favor of common students and citizens? 

In the past, when political parties were banned, the student organization did the work of taking the issues of political parties to the people and establishing them. The students' organization was the driving force behind the political changes in the country, and even more so, the New Union. But now the organization has lost its ooze, importance and trust.

The tenure of party chairman Deuba, who is leading the party for the second time in a row, 2084  Expires in November. Aspirants for the chairmanship and other positions are going towards winning Deuba's trust. They are worried about their own positions, who will speak about these organizations and citizens? So much so that Gagan Thapa, a strong critic of the Speaker in the past, is silent now. How will Thapa, who became the Chief Minister riding on Shekhar Koirala's shoulders, not oppose Deuba and become the Speaker with his blessings?

No one is paying attention to how to build a strong and strong Congress and how to make the party stronger in 2084 elections. Why did the Congress lose the by-elections in Ilam and Bajhang? Why was the Congress weak in the local by-elections held in November? In 2079, Congress won 27 seats among the vacant local levels. But why this number has decreased, it has not been discussed anywhere. How could it become the first party in 2084? Shouldn't the party leadership take responsibility after analyzing the results of the election?

The good work done by any minister has not been heard till date. Has it become a situation where the ministers are proud to talk about the reforms and discuss them with the party and the common people? A situation where you can tell the citizens and vote again to the Congress for this  no There is no roadmap for reform. Shouldn't KP Oli's cabinet be completed by reviewing the ministers and directing or taking action against them? When Speaker Deuba is repeatedly saying that Prime Minister Oli has done a good job, who has discussed the work done by a Congress minister? How can the Congress become popular just by counting the date of leadership? 

The desire for good governance has not been fulfilled according to what the citizens thought. The country's economy, which has been stagnant for three years, has not been able to become viable. Industrialists and common people are anxiously waiting for the government to do something and improve the economy. When the Congress was in government, there was excitement in the stock market, but this time it has not been seen. 

Now the lack of accountability is staggering. The sense of responsibility towards citizens has been abandoned. This is why the distaste for politics is increasing. In this situation, the Congress leader-activist will go to the door of the citizen with a list of work? Party unity will be strengthened if we bind leaders and workers from bottom to top and from top to bottom in methods and discipline. Leadership should show generosity. Those who are in other responsibilities should also work better than Chakdi, otherwise the party in 2084 will not be even weaker than in the previous two by-elections.
