Five passengers were injured when a microbus coming from Kathmandu met with an accident in Dhankuta-1 Nigale.
According to the District Police Office, Dhankuta, a microbus bearing the number Ga 2 Kha 1957 lost control and fell off the road in the Nigale area on Saturday afternoon. As soon as the information about the accident was received, a police team led by Police Inspector Pandav Rajbanshi reached the spot.
The injured were rescued with the help of locals and other passengers, the police said. The injured have been taken to the District Hospital, Dhankuta for treatment. Detailed information about their condition is yet to be released.
The cause of the accident has not been revealed and further investigation into the incident is underway, the district police said.
