The suspended central treasurer of Janmat Party, Surendra Yadav, has been arrested by Saptari police. According to SP Dhakendra Khatiwada of Saptari, he was arrested on Sunday in the case of fraud and criminal treachery after a letter from Lalitpur police complex.
According to Khatiwada, a case of fraud and criminal treachery was registered at the District Police Complex Lalitpur on the complaint of Sharadsingh Yadav, the central spokesperson of the Janmat Party, and Yadav was detained on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the Lalitpur District Court. Khatiwada said that preparations are being made to send him to Lalitpur.
The Janmaat Party had suspended Yadav some time ago, accusing him of irregularity in the party's funds and conspiracy against the party and the president.
