The team of the District Police Range Kathmandu arrested five people with 881 electronic cigarettes and cash during a vehicle check in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality-8, Bagmati Corridor and made it public on Thursday.
Aadesh Khadka, 21, and Saujan Simkhada, 18, of Kageshwori Manohara-9, Aakash Tamang, 23, of Rasuwa Chilime Rural Municipality-5, Arjun Tamang, 20, and Liu Wei, 32, of Bagdol, Lalitpur, were arrested, said the spokesperson of the range and Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai.
They were arrested while they were traveling in a vehicle, along with the electronic cigarettes and cash. According to him, after finding the items, the police also searched the room of the Chinese citizen in Bagdol.
881 pieces of cannabis, Rs 600,000, four silver-like metal elephant statues, 503 Chinese yuan, ten power banks, three mobile phones, 46 packs of Chinese cigarettes, two bill books, one laptop, one CPU, one diary and one printer were seized from them, informed Superintendent of Police Bhattarai. The police said that the five arrested have been sent to the New Baneshwor Police Circle for further investigation and action.
