The 'National Sanitation Week' will be launched in government offices from next Monday.
The government has started the Sanitation Week in all offices at the federal, provincial and local levels from Monday to Jestha 1. For that, guidelines for the operation of the Sanitation Week 2083 have also been issued, informed Subarna Bajracharya, a branch officer of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
He informed that the Sanitation Week has been launched to maintain a clean, healthy and orderly environment in all government bodies and educational institutions and to develop hygiene-related practices.
Letters have been sent to all federal, provincial and local levels to launch the week. The Sanitation Week will be launched at Bir Hospital at 8:30 am on Monday in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population, informed Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry. He said that the Sanitation Week will also be launched in all hospitals across the country at the same time and that people have been urged to participate in cleanliness daily throughout the week.
The indicators specified in the guidelines for the operation of the Sanitation Week must be fulfilled. It has been urged to follow the indicators set for office cleanliness measurement, toilet and hygiene measurement, cleanliness of educational institutions and public places, canteen and kitchen hygiene, waste management measurement, service recipient experience measurement, and institutional sustainability measurement.
