Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to launch the ‘Kathmandu School Partnership Program’ to exchange learning and capacity between community and institutional schools.

Acting Mayor of the Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, said that the program is going to be launched from this academic session to develop relations between community and institutional schools and exchange mutual learning and capacity.

At an orientation program on ‘School Educational, Physical and Managerial Reform’ organized by the Department of Education for the chairpersons, principals, resource teachers and female teachers of the Community School Management Committee, Deputy Mayor Dangol said that special priority would be given to educational reform. 'We have increased investment in education. This investment is for building skilled human resources. The results may not be visible immediately. However, the achievements achieved must be sustainable,' she said. 'We are positive about the subjects demanded by the schools.' But first of all, it must be ensured that the available physical infrastructure, resources, means and manpower are utilized to the maximum extent.''

Urging schools not to be confused about the Sunday school holiday, she said that a scientific solution will be provided soon regarding the completion of the curriculum and the regular operation of other activities that have been started.
