Two people riding a motorcycle have died after a truck bearing the number Madhes Province 03-001 Kha 8068 hit a motorcycle bearing the number AAA 3542 on the road in Thasikhel, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-14 on Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased are the motorcycle driver, 65-year-old Bidur Gurung, a resident of Sunsari, Sanepa, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-2, and his mother, 85-year-old Dhanmaya Gurung, the motorcycle rider.
They were seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at Alka Hospital, according to the Police Central News Room Naxal. The police have taken the truck driver who hit them into custody and are investigating.
