The election police deployed in the Kathmandu Valley for the House of Representatives elections held this Thursday will be bid farewell on Thursday. Inspector General of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki informed that 3,854 election police personnel were deployed in Kathmandu, 1,093 in Bhaktapur, and 1,596 in Lalitpur for the security of the election.
He said, 'Security arrangements were made in coordination with the Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and other security agencies to maintain a peaceful environment in the valley throughout the election period.' He said that good security arrangements were made from the day of voting to the counting of votes, which helped in the peaceful completion of the election. Inspector General Karki said that the police personnel deployed in the election performed their duties responsibly.
