Four people arrested on charges of participating in anti-election activities along with Kattel
Police today arrested Rishi Kattel, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, on charges of being involved in anti-election activities.
Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Rameshwor Karki said that Kattel was arrested from Kirtipur today. He informed that so far, four people have been arrested along with Kattel on charges of participating in anti-election activities.
Police also arrested Nepal Communist Party (Majority) General Secretary Dharmendra Bastola, leader Bishnu Prasad Timilsina and SP Sah of Durga Prasai group on Tuesday night. They had expressed their intention to boycott the election.
The police have kept them under surveillance as some small parties including the NCP, NCP Majority and some others are boycotting the election and engaging in anti-election activities.
