Kathmandu Metropolitan City is going to support Kirtipur Hospital in purchasing health equipment.
An agreement was signed in the presence of Acting Chief Sunita Dangol, Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragain and Coordinator of the Education and Health Committee Chinikaji Maharjan under the annual program of the metropolis to purchase the equipment required for health treatment at Kirtipur Hospital.
The agreement was signed by Deepak Kumar KC, Chief of the Health Department, on behalf of the metropolis, and Dr. Bharat Kumar Pradhan Shrestha, Chairman of the hospital.
The metropolis has signed an agreement for the grant of medical equipment purchase under the approved program of the current fiscal year. One crore rupees have been allocated for this. As per the agreement, the hospital will purchase one anesthesia machine, one 250 kVA generator and one 500 mA digital X-ray machine required for health treatment through the public procurement process.
The metropolis has supported the provision of quality, easy and simple treatment services to the residents of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and patients coming to Kirtipur Hospital for treatment. Acting Chief Dangol said that the grant was provided with the aim of making the hospital's services, which provide treatment for burns, quality and convenience. Stating that the hospital is run on the basis of service, not profit-making and distribution, Hospital Chairman Shrestha said, "Treating burn patients is difficult. We have been expecting continuous support from the metropolis to make it easier."
