The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption chargesheet against Engineer Subash Bista of Godavari Municipality, Lalitpur, in the Special Court, Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Bista, who is working in the contract service, has been charged with corruption by illegally acquiring property and committing corruption, according to Suresh Neupane, spokesperson of the commission. According to him, since the property he illegally acquired by abusing authority while in the public service is in the name of his father, a demand has been made to confiscate the hidden property by imprisonment and fine under Sub-section (2) of Section 16 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059, against his father Sudarshan Bista.
