Fifty-seven candidates have filed their candidacies in Bhaktapur, which has two constituencies, for the House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21.

The District Election Office, Bhaktapur, has stated that 25 candidates, including 16 political parties and 9 independent candidates, have filed their candidacies in Bhaktapur constituency number 1. Similarly, the office has stated that 32 candidates, including 17 political parties and 15 independent candidates, have filed their candidacies in constituency number 2. Kiran Neupane of Nepali Congress, Som Prasad Mishra of CPN-UML, Hariram Labaju of Nepali Communist Party, Prem Suwal of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, and Rukesh Ranjit of National Independent Party have filed their candidacies from constituency number 1.

Bharat Bahadur Khadka of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Devendra Thakur of Aam Janata Party, and Ramesh Balla of Ujjaya Nepal Party have also filed their candidacies in that constituency. Similarly, Ishwori Prasad Paiyani of Rastriya Janamorcha, Savitri Neupane of Miteri Nepal Party, and Deepak Pokharel of Nepali Party have also filed their candidacies from the same constituency.

Other candidates from the same constituency include Shyam Sundar Shilpakar of JSP Nepal, Chandraman Koju of CPN (Maoist), Bishnu Hari Nhisutu of Shram Sanskriti Party, Damodar Kafle of CPN United, and Ravi Khaiju of Pragatishil Loktantrik Party, informed Bhim BC, Information Officer of the District Election Office, Bhaktapur.

Similarly, independent candidates are Balkrishna Khaitu, Suresh Koju, Dasharath Thapa, Raju Shrestha, Punyaram Suwal, Sudip Neupane, Rajeshwori Prajapati, Bishnu Ram Damaru, and Sujita Budhathoki. There are 107,054 voters in Constituency No. 1.

Those filing candidacies in Constituency No. 2 are Kabir Rana of Nepali Congress, Mahesh Basnet of UML, Ramesh Baidya of Nepal Majdoor Kisan Party, Ram Prasad Sapkota of Nepali Communist Party, and Rajiv Khatri of National Independent Party. Similarly, Bikram Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Dev Kumari Shah of the Aam Janata Party, and Jitram Lama of the Ujjaya Nepal Party have also filed their candidacies. 

Similarly, Rajesh Bade of the Nepali Party, Pemwa Ghale of the Mongol National Organization, and Arjun Basu of the Shram Sanskriti Party have also filed their candidacies for Nepal.  Similarly,  Nabin Shrestha of the JSP Nepal, Prakash Raj Dhungel of the CPN (Maoist), Rakesh Shrestha of Trimul Nepal, Lok Krishna Dahal of the CPN United, Janmadev Jaisi of the Pragatishil Loktantrik Party, and Pathak of the Nepal Janasewa Party have also filed their candidacies. 

Pradeep Kumar Rupakheti, Sabin Mahat, Anita Bhattarai, Archana Bhattarai, Renu Shrestha, Surban Thapa, Sajan Dhakal, Nabin Kumar Mahat, Om Krishna Kutu, Bal Krishna Shrestha, Laxmi Bastola Poudel, Shyam Krishna Dhukhwa, Madhu Prakash Sahukhal, Anand Karki, Manoj Lama have also filed independent candidacies from the same constituency. There are 98,356 voters in constituency number two.

According to the election schedule, there is a schedule for filing complaints against candidacies by 3 pm today. There is a schedule for investigating after 3 pm and publishing the list of candidates tomorrow. The final list of candidates will be published on the 9th.
