Police have arrested a man on charges of defrauding a person of one million rupees on the pretext of sending him to New Zealand for foreign employment and made him public on Sunday.

The arrested person is 38-year-old Bishal Katuwal, a native of Inaruwa Municipality-1, Sunsari, and currently residing in Kirtipur Municipality-11, Kathmandu, informed Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya. 

He said that he was arrested based on a complaint that he had cheated unemployed youths by luring them with attractive salaries and taking them to New Zealand for employment and then lost contact with them. 

Katuwal, who was arrested from Kirtipur, has been sent to the Foreign Employment Department Tahachal today for further investigation and necessary action, informed Spokesperson Acharya.
