The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is set to cut power supply to various places in the capital Kathmandu today. The authority has issued a notice stating that power supply will be cut in various places under the Panipokhari feeder and hospital feeder from 11 am to 1 pm today.
According to the NEA, there will be power cuts in the areas around Lazimpat, Panipokhari, Maharajgunj, and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital. Similarly, there will be power cuts in the areas around Rashtrapati Bhavan, Nepal Police Central Investigation Bureau, and Nepal Police Hospital, according to the NEA's Maharajgunj Distribution Center.
The Kathmandu Valley Central and North Distribution System Strengthening Project is carrying out underground work on the distribution system and the power cuts are being made for the purpose of connecting the cables that have already been completed underground. The notice states that power will be supplied if the specified work is completed ahead of schedule.
