Police have arrested and made public three people accused of being involved in the process of obtaining citizenship, national identity cards, and passports by submitting false information.

The arrested are Yam Bahadur Basnet, 43, of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-17, Dang, and currently residing in Shantitol, Tarakeswor-8, Kathmandu; Krishna Bahadur Katuwal, 51, of Kachanakabal Rural Municipality-3, Jhapa, and currently residing in Mahalaxmi-1, Imadol, Lalitpur; and Surya Bahadur Khadka, 41, of Bhadrapur Municipality-9, Jhapa, and currently residing in Gyaneshwor, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-30, informed the Valley Crime Investigation Office spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Kazi Kumar Acharya. 

The arrested have been sent to the District Police Office, Jhapa for further investigation and necessary action on charges of citizenship, forged documents, and organized crime, said Spokesperson Acharya.
