The District Police Range, Kathmandu, has arrested a person with stolen cash worth Rs. 1 million 23,500.
According to the spokesperson of the complex, Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, Deepak Gajurel of Nuwakot Belkotgadhi-9, who had absconded from the Jagannath Deval Central Jail during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, was arrested from Thamel.
According to the police, Gajurel was found to have stolen from the office of Nepal Holiday Trek and Travels located on the first floor of Hotel Lotus Grand in Sohrakhutte, Kathmandu on Mangsir 26 at 12:30 pm. Police say that Gajurel also stole from Raj Finance in Sinamangal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 on Mangsir 24.
Police have recovered a brown bag with cash, a green hoodie used in the theft, a Canon camera, a hard drive and other items from the accused Gajurel.
