Police have arrested a man on charges of defrauding him of Rs 141.3 million by promising to send him to various countries for foreign employment.
Police have arrested a man on charges of defrauding a person of Rs 141.3 million on the pretext of sending him to various countries for foreign employment.
The arrested person is Shambhu Dayal Agrawal, 52, a native of Makawanpur Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-4 and currently residing in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-4, informed Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Kazi Kumar Acharya.
He said, 'The arrested Shambhu was arrested yesterday, Sunday, based on the complaints of the victims that he had taken Rs 141.3 million from the victims and had gone missing, saying that he would send them to various countries.' Spokesperson Acharya said that he has been sent to the Foreign Employment Department in Tahachal for necessary investigation and action.
